Cooper needs time to mentally recharge

Colm Cooper says his break from football is to recharge the batteries.
The Dr Crokes talisman is currently unavailable to Kerry boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice as the Kingdom languish at the foot of Division One. But he has confirmed that he doesn't have an injury and urges Kerry supporters to give the new manager time:
"I've spoken to Eamonn and we agreed to keep in touch over the next few weeks," Cooper says in The Irish Independent. "I've no big injury problem, it's just to mentally recharge the batteries a little bit because when you do go back it will be full tilt.
"The worst thing you could do would be to go back too early and then hit a wall midway through a season.
"There's no one hitting the alarm buttons. Eamonn is a smart guy and he's looking at the bigger picture for Kerry football.
"We just have to start working a little better and a little harder and I think we'll start to see better results and that would be great for the young fellas who are in there at the minute."
