Evans won't take Wicklow for granted
28 February 2013
Roscommon manager John Evans
Roscommon manager John Evans believes that they would be wrong to take Wicklow for granted at the weekend.
The Garden County have failed to impress during their opening two matches of the division 3 campaign, while the Rossies have one win from their two matches so far.
And Evans stressed to the Roscommon Herald that the three-week break may have been ideal timing for the Garden County as they get their house in order.
"I get the sense that some people outside the camp may be taking Wicklow for granted, but I'd be very naive to underestimate any team trained by Harry Murphy," said Evans.
"Like ourselves, they were missing a couple of key players in their opening two games. But, I've heard that the likes of Seanie Furlong and Leighton Glynn are back training with them, so I expect them to be much stronger on Sunday."
