Faithful suffer Sullivan blow
28 February 2013
Offaly's Anton Sullivan
Offaly star Anton Sullivan's season could be over after he dislocated his shoulder while playing in a Defence Forces game last week.
It's not the first time the young Rhode attacker has suffered such an injury, and his unavailablity is a huge blow to new manager Emmett McDonnell whose side needs to bounce back from their one-point defeat to Limerick against Mick O'Dwyer's Clare on Sunday if they are to remain in the hunt for promotion from Division 4 of the Allianz League.
Sullivan is recognised as Offaly's most prolific scorer after Niall McNamee, and other forwards such as Paul McPadden and DIT Sigerson Cup winner Bernard Allen will now be expected to shoulder more responsibility in his absence.
