Daly counting down the days

Dublin hurling manager Anthony Daly
Anthony Daly admits he cannot wait for Dublin's Leinster SHC semi-final against Galway on Saturday.

The Dubs boss expects his NHL champions to "give a great performance" against the only side to beat them in competitive hurling this year.

"I for one am just wishing the days away until Saturday. I feel we have put in a great season's work and are ready now to give a great performance," he told the Evening Herald.

"The preparation has been all but complete at this stage and what will count now is whichever team holds its bottle in the cauldron of a Leinster semi-final. Whoever is to win will need a great test to be ready to face the champions in this year's final.

"The prize of avoiding the qualifiers is huge and a guaranteed quarter-final spot for the victors as well as a shot at taking the Bob O'Keeffe (Cup) so nothing will be held back on either side."
