Scor:
Ballycumber/Doon joined forces to take part in Junior Scor this year. At the County Final on 25th November, we competed in 4 categories - Solo Singing, Story Telling, Instrumental Music and the Question Time, and were delighted to have won in 2 of those. The Club would like to congratulate all who participated - Paula Cosgrove in Solo Singing and Patrick Cosgrove who, along with the Hennessys and Jennifer Connor competed in the Instrumental Music. Special congratulations go to Bridget Healy who won the StoryTelling and to David Ayres, David Egan and Alan Kelly who won the question time. The winners now take part in the Leinster Semi-finals on Sunday Next December 7th in Leixlip, with a start time of 3pm.
To ensure that there is strong support for our county Champions when they take the stage in Leixlip, it is intended to run a bus to the Semis. If you wish to book a seat, please call Frank Healy on 057 9336506. We also wish to thank Colette Connor, and the families of all involved who helped in any way. We look forward to seeing a big crowd in Leixlip on the 7th.
Missing Defibrillator:
The Defib Committee wish to advise that the Defibrillator at Deverys Shop has 'gone missing'. This was discovered last week, and is very disappointing given the great support for the project so far. Residents in the area surrounding Deverys are asked to familiarise themselves with the next nearest location, Boher Church or the Community Centre. Obviously, if anybody has information about the missing unit, please contact a committee member. Remember, these are life-saving medical devices that must be available at all times, should they be required to help save a life.
Club Championship
. Best of luck to Rhode in the Leinster Club Football championship in Parnell Park on Sunday next and hard luck to Birr who were defeated in the Leinster Final on Sunday last..
