Hannify: Shamrocks are on a revenge mission

November 29, 2008
Birr's Rory Hanniffy has stated that Ballyhale Shamrocks are on a "revenge mission" for tomorrow's Leinster club senior hurling final. Last year, Hanniffy and his team-mates ousted the Leinster champions at the semi-final stage of the province and he insists with Henry Shefflin and James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick now back the Shamrocks will be out for blood on the provincial final stage. "They are on a revenge mission after last year," said Hannify. "It is a case of knuckling down again and refocusing on a new team. It is a new challenge. "The fact is that they (Shefflin and Fitzpatrick) weren't there last year. And they will be there this time. We need to focus on that. Obviously those types of players take watching. We'll have to organise ourselves to do that. "We beat whoever was there last year. We are not going down to try and lose the next day. We are going down to try and win it. We will focus on whoever is there this time." The two sides are set to clash tomorrow (Sunday) in the Leinster club SHC final with throw-in time scheduled for 2.00pm at Nowlan Park.
