Sice satisfied as Corofin book final spot

November 10, 2008
Corofin manager Jimmy Sice expressed satisfaction after his side's victory over Castlerea, St. Kevin's in their Connacht club football semi-final clash at Kiltoom. The 1998 Andy Merrigan Cup winners set up a provincial final showdown with Eastern Harps following a 1-14 to 0-8 victory, and Sice said: "We moved nicely in the second half, something we are capable of doing if we get going. "We have plenty of rows inside but we are a very close bunch of lads. I've been involved with them since they were under 10 and 12 and different lads will always stand up each night at training. "We are a unique bunch of lads in the sense that we are prepared to do whatever we have to do for one another. Thank God it worked today. "We did play good football but at the same time it was level at half-time. The goal will always win a game at this time of year. When you go three points up, it is hard to pull it back."
