Liam Sheedy says Tipperary will be plotting against some “very formidable” management teams next season as they look to retain their All-Ireland SHC crown.

Speaking of his fellow county man, Sheedy reckons the appointment of Liam Cahill and his coach Mikey Bevans in Waterford is a shrewd one by the Deise County having achieved minor, U-20, and U21 All-Ireland success during their time in Tipp.

“They are very good operators. A string of titles behind them,” he told GAA.ie.

“Liam knows what it’s about. I’d say the same thing about Kieran Kingston in Cork and Brian Lohan in Clare, Shane O’Neill in Galway. These guys know what they’re at. All the management teams are very capable, very formidable…

“We’re all down at the bottom of the hill now, bursting to get up. It’s going to be another enthralling championship. Standards are very high.”
