St. Joseph’s Miltown-Malbay 0-9

Kilmurry-Ibrickane 0-9

Goalkeeper Ian McInerney was Kilmurry-Ibrickane's saviour after his last-gasp 45-metre free earned his side at replay with holders St Joseph's at Cusack Park.

A draw was a fitting result after the sides had been level six times over the course of the hour. Conor Cleary looked to have retained the Jack Daly Cup for St Joseph's when he edged them ahead in the first minute of injury-time, but there was still enough time for Kilmurry-Ibrickane to grab an equaliser.

Three Keelan Sexton frees and a Michael Hogan effort from play had the challengers from Quilty 0-4 to 0-1 up after 23 minutes. But St Joseph's finished the half with unanswered scores from Kieran Malone, Eoin Cleary and full-back Seanie Malone to regain parity at the break.

The champions nudged ahead five times in a cagey second half, but their neighbours always found a way to equalise with Sexton finishing with 0-6 (all from frees) to his credit.
