Kerry 0-18
Limerick 1-3

Donal O’Sullivan struck 0-10 as Kerry advanced into the Munster U20 football championship final at Limerick’s expense in Tralee this evening.

The hosts limited their opponents to just four scores over the hour and, as a result, remained comfortable throughout, having put three points on the board before James Molyneaux got Limerick off the mark.

The lead would be at five by the 13th minute and further scores from O’Sullivan (2) and Fiachra Clifford had the score board reading 0-10 to 0-2 at the interval.

O’Sullivan’s fifth point from play widened the gap to nine early in the restart prior to the Shannonsiders grabbing a lifeline.

A pointed free from John Hayes was backed up by a fisted goal by Molyneaux which left it at 0-11 to 1-3.

However, the victors seized control once again thereafter, as O’Sullivan, Clifford and Cathal Ferriter helped bump up their team’s tally to 0-18.

Next up for Jack O’Connor’s charges is a date with either Cork or Waterford - whom meet tomorrow evening in Clonakilty (throw-in 7.00pm) - in the Munster final on July 18th.
