Corofin suffered a rare home defeat in the Galway Senior Division 1 Football League yesterday.
The back-to-back All-Ireland club champions surprisingly lost to Killannin by 10 points, 1-6 to 1-16. Corofin have been virtually untouchable both inside and outside of Galway in recent years and are hotly-tipped to complete a remarkable seven-in-a-row of Frank Fox Cups later this year.
In the weekend's other Division 1 games, Milltown edged out St Michael's, An Spideal and Annaghdown drew, Tuam Stars were one-point winners over Salthill-Knocknacarra and Mountbellew-Moylough were emphatic 3-20 to 2-8 winners over Caherlistrane.
