Donal Murtagh wasn't happy with Crossmaglen's performance in their narrow victory over Coalisland last Saturday night.

Both teams finished with just 13 men, but Cross' had a two-man numerical advantage from the 25th to 33rd minutes.

"We lost our shape, our decision-making was poor. Then in the second half we were playing against the wind and we seemed to find it hard to get the ball up the field," the Crossmaglen manager said in the Irish News.

"There were a lot of frees - Martin McNally, the referee, wouldn't be giving too many soft frees, but there were a lot of frees in the match. It was high-tempo and that's the way he refereed. The stop-start nature of it probably suited Coalisland more than us."

It has been revealed that the Ulster Council has launched an investigation into a number of sledging incidents which allegedly took place during the course of the ill-tempered Ulster club SFC quarter-final.
