There was one standout fixture in the draw for this year’s Clare senior hurling championship quarterfinals.

The meeting of defending champions Sixmilebridge and Cratloe is without doubt a mouth watering prospect for all hurling fans in the county.

Sixmilebridge have looked in good form as they attempt to defend their title, but they will face a Cratloe side that look to be back to their best.

The first two names out of the hat were Clooney-Quin and O’Callaghan’s Mills and this is another intriguing battle between two in-form sides.

Tony Kelly’s Ballyea will take on Inagh-Kilnamona and the 2016 champions have been in outstanding form so far in the campaign.

The last quarterfinal sees Eire Og and Kilmaley clash with the games set to be played over the course of the next couple of weeks.
