Tyrone are anxiously awaiting the results of Cathal McCarron's MRI scan.

The former All Star defender sustained a nasty-looking knee injury 19 minutes into the Red Hands' facily Super 8s victory over Roscommon at Croke Park on Saturday and has undergone a scan to assess the extent of the damage.

The results have not yet been disclosed but it appears that the tigerish defender is in grave danger of missing the remainder of the season. Hugh Pat McGeary replaced him against the Rossies and is likely to get a start against Dublin in Omagh.
