John Small will miss Dublin's Super 8s tie against Donegal on Saturday after having his red card from the Leinster final upheld by the Central Hearings Committee.

The Ballymun Kickhams defender was given his marching order after striking Laois' Evan O'Carroll in the provincial decider on June 24th and was handed the resultant one match suspension by the Central Competitions Control Committee.

After being unsuccessful in his appeal last night, Small now has the option of bringing his case to the Central Appeals Committee
