Na Piarsaigh will be without Conor Boylan and Tommy Grimes for Saturday week's All-Ireland club SHC final after both were unsuccessful in their appeals against their respective bans.
Both players were shown red cards during the Limerick champions' semi-final victory over Slaughtneil on February 10th and appealed the referee's decision yesterday evening to the Central Competitions Control Committee.
Boylan had been red-carded for "kicking with minimal force" while Grimes got his marching for "striking with a hurley, with minimal force".
Neither men were successful in their appeals, meaning that they will now miss the Croke Park decider against defending champions Cuala on St Patrick's Day.
