Cavan manager Mattie McGleenan has handed out seven debuts for tomorrow night's Dr McKenna Cup clash against St Mary's at Kingspan Breffni.

Entering his second year in charge with the Breffni men, McGleenan has opted to experiment in his side's season opener against the Sigerson Cup champions by naming three newcomers - Damien McIntyre (Shercock), Oisin Kiernan and Enda Flanagan (both Castlerahan) - in his defence.

Ballyhaise pair Sean McCormack, who has played previously in the McKenna Cup, and debutant David Brady partner each at centre-field while Jack Wharton of Cornafean, Adrian Cole (Ramor United) and Bryan Magee (Cuchulainns) make up a new-look full-forward line.

With Niall McDermott, Tomas Corr, Rory Dunne and James McEnroe all having opted off the panel from last year, goalkeeper Ray Galligan, Jason McLoughlin, Padraig Faulkner and Ciaran Brady are the only four named in McGleenan's side that started in last summer's All-Ireland SFC qualifier defeat to Tipperary.

Throw-in at Kingspan Breffni tomorrow night is at 8pm.
