Tipperary 2-16
Limerick 1-6

Tipperary proved much too strong for Limerick in this afternoon's senior football challenge at the Golden-Kilfeacle GAA grounds outside Cashel.

Michael Quinlivan struck goals in either half for the home side with the Clonmel Commercials forward's first coming via a soccer style finish that helped his team towards a commanding 1-9 to 0-4 lead at the break.

In a game which also saw goalkeeper Evan Comerford and Steven O'Brien in pre-season action for the first time, Quinlivan's second goal on 42 minutes put the issue to the bed for the Premier men as they ran out 13-point winners in the end.
