Declan Hannon will captain Limerick's senior hurlers in 2018.
The Adare clubman will succeed James Ryan in the role following the latter's decision to retire from inter-county duty last month.
Hannon, who is 25 years old, will enter into his either season with the Shannonsiders and becomes the first Adare man to take over his county's captaincy since Mark Foley.
Bruff's Paul Browne has been handed the vice captaincy by manager John Kiely.
