Former county player Enda Coughlan has been drafted into the Clare senior football backroom.

The Kilmurry Ibrickane clubman, who represented the Banner County from 2004 up until his retirement last season, replaces David O'Brien in the selector's role. Coughlan continues to line out for his club with whom he recently won his eight county SFC medal.

Colm Collins' side are expected to be without forward duo Eoin Cleary and David Tubridy as well as key defender Kevin Harnett for the entire McGrath Cup campaign as they recover from surgery.
