Kieran McGeeney expressed satisfaction with Armagh's improved second half showing against Wexford.

The Orchard County made it two wins from two in Division 3 of the Allianz League, having been flattered by a four-point (1-5 to 0-4) interval lead.

"There was no-one more disappointed at half-time with the first half display than the players," the manager told the Irish News.

"Wexford had the upper hand for long periods of that opening half and we were lucky to be four points ahead at half-time. The goal came just on the break putting a rather false complexion on the scoreline.

"We had a few positional changes for the second half aimed at wresting midfield control. They upped their effort and got the early second half scores to move six points clear.

"We had the momentum but allowed Wexford back to within three points but, credit to the lads, they finished strongly."
