Jamie Clarke didn't start for Armagh against Wexford today and afterwards manager Kieran McGeeney revealed his star forward was sidelined with a groin injury.

Despite missing the Crossmaglen ace and other influential performers, the Orchard County made it two wins from as many outings in Division 3 with a 2-13 to 1-8 success over visitors Wexford.

"We were down four players today, Kevin Dyas, Ciaran McKeever, Jame (Clarke) and Mark Shields," 'Geezer' outlined to BBC Sport Northern Ireland.

"We brought on Mark in the second-half just because we were stuck. He had a hamstring injury during the week so we were probably down four of our better players but, in fairness to them, the young boys stood up today and were counted.

"He (Clarke) had a pull on his groin so it will probably be a couple of weeks. We're hoping to have him back for the next one."

Armagh's next game is away to Limerick on March 1st.
