Wednesday night's McKenna Cup semi-final between Tyrone and Armagh should be an 'interesting game' according to Justin McMahon.

The Red Hands remain on course for a fourth McKenna Cup outright success in-a-row following their 1-11 to 0-7 win over Antrim on Sunday but the experienced McMahon says they have plenty of room for improvement.

"We aren't too impressed with the way we performed," he remarked to The Belfast Telegraph.

"You would have to say Antrim looked the better team for a good part of the game. We missed a lot of chances, we have a lot of work to do."

Tyrone will renew acquaintances with the Orchard County in the Athletic Grounds tomorrow night (8pm) and Mickey Harte's charges will be looking to repeat their 1-12 to 1-10 opening round victory.

In an tempestuous affair,  Colm Cavanagh and Ciaran McKeever were both shown red cards after an early incident while Armagh finished with 12 after Finian Moriarty and Aaron Findon were both shown second yellow cards.

"If the first game was anything to go by, it's going to be more of the same.

"Armagh have another couple of games behind them. It makes for an interesting game."
