Forgotten man Ronan Clarke still habours hopes of lining out for Armagh again.

Clarke was just 19 when he starred at full forward in the Orchard County's historic All-Ireland final victory over Kerry in 2002, but his career has been blighted by injuries since he ruptured his cruciate ligament in 2006.

"If I can start getting my 60 minutes with Pearse Og in the league then I'd never doubt, if I was playing well enough, that I could give the county another crack," he is quoted in the Irish Daily Star.

"I was looking at Fergal Doherty from Derry last year, I thought he was excellent for them. They say that county football isn't for old men anymore, but he was very good."
