Eoin Cadogan has been appointed strength and conditioning coach to the Armagh hurlers.

The former Cork dual star, who has been named at centre back on the county's football team to face Waterford in Sunday's McGrath Cup semi-final, was ratified on Monday night along with new manager Sylvester McConnell and his assistant Padraig O'Connor.

Cadogan, who has been studying for degree in strength and conditioning at Setanta College, is boyfriend of Julie Davis, the strength and conditioning coach to the Armagh footballers.

His new role isn't expected to impact on his playing career with the Cork footballers.

The Orchard County hurlers surrendered their Christy Ring Cup status last year, but are among the favourites to lift their third Nicky Rackard Cup in six years in 2015.
