Long serving county board officer Padraig Og Nugent has been nominated for the position of secretary at this year's convention.

The annual convention takes place on Sunday, December 7th  and Nugent is nominated for a role that he held for 20 years in the past.

This year saw Nugent hold the role of CCC secretary, but he is favourite to land the position that he has become synonymous with over the years.

Nugent has also acted as PRO for ten years and a surprise nomination for the position of secretary is outgoing chairman Paul Duggan, but it remains to be seen if he will let his name go forward.
