Former Armagh All-Ireland winner Aidan O'Rourke is out of the Antrim senior football manager running.

The Irish News reports that O'Rourke - who managed Louth in recent times - was interviewed by a three-man panel last Tuesday night which consisted of chairman Jim Murray and Colm McKenna (Lamh Dhearg) and Sean Fleming (Rossa).

He presented a five-year plan aimed at revamping the county's coaching structures and informed the interview panel that he would only be interested in the job if his plans were put into practice.

Yesterday he was informed the County Board couldn't offer him the post as there were insufficient resources to fund his plan.

Last year's U-21 manager Frank Fitzsimons was also nominated for the job which is currently held by Liam Bradley.
