On a mild Wednesday evening Thomas Davis, Corrinshego travelled to the Athletic Grounds, Armagh to attend the final of the Division 3, U16 Championship Final.   There was a great support for our boys and everyone was hopeful that we would play to the best of our ability and take home the silverware.  Our boys came out onto the field strong, with some great runs, but nerves took over and at half time they were losing to Madden.   Whatever was said in the changing rooms at half time must have been some speech because upon their return to the field Caolan Marron put the ball into the back of the net to score a great goal.    This was the start that Thomas Davis needed and from that moment on our boys were amazing on the field.   There was a great display of football from both teams.  Our boys went from strength to strength scoring goals and points to win the game.  There was a great sense of achievement and pride within the team.  The boys took the cup and Declan Loye, Captain spoke very well thanking his team mates, management and family.   Congratulations to all involved, management and players……. The future is bright it's maroon and white!!!!

Thomas Davis   6-3  V St. Joseph's 1-0

Sunday 31st August 2014

Played on a beautiful sunny morning this young Thomas Davis team came of age with a commanding performance from start to finish.  With Shaun Colins manning the goals with confidence and the two girls , Siobhan  and Lauren controlling the full back line.  Gio Fallone and Brian Quinn played their role  in the half backs while Adam Travers and Danny Shields worked hard at midfield.  A  penetrating run by J. Gray led to him being  fouled and he  duly banged home the resultant  penalty.Adam finished with a personal total of 1-2.  A long ball into Liam O'Brien  from Adam Travers deceived the St. Joseph's goalkeeper and Jamie Gray was there to slot the ball  to the back of the net.  Callum Bradley  scored a fine goal when he linked up with Ciaran Higgins.  Michael Mallon and  Martin McKinley  contributed well and  fed Jamie who went   on a scoring spree.

Next up is the O'Hagan Tournament on Saturday 13th September in Lissumon.

Thomas Davis : Shaun Collins, Siobhan McKinley, Lauren Travers, Gio Fallone, Brian Quinn, Danny Shields, Adam Travers, Michael Mallon, Jamie Gray, Ciaran Higgins, Liam O'Brien, Callum Bradley, Martin McKinley.
