Thomas Davis Corrinshego 1-9 Lawarence O'Tool's Belleek 1-9
Played in almost perfect conditions, Corrinshego played in an absorbing JFC tie, to come from six points and a man down to force a replay against their south Armagh neighbours.
Although playing a full league higher, no one in the Corrinshego camp was taking the Belleek challenge lightly especially as the men in green, white and orange won the previous two championship matches in the last decade between the two sides.
From the moment Seamus O'Neill through the ball up, Belleek went on the attack and had a point instead the first minute through McCreesh. By the 15minute Belleek had extended their lead 0-3 to no score. In fairness the Corrinshego defence were playing resolutely and defiantly.  In fact both James Dinsmore and Mark Bradshaw dispossessed their opponents on numerous occasions only for Corrinshego themselves to be turned over.  On 21minutes a piercing run by Ryan Courtney  led to him being fouled and Liam Quinn pointed the  resultant free to reduce the gap by two point.
On 23 minutes Belleek scored their fourth point of the half and quickly followed this up with 0-3 to leave the score 0-7 to  0-1 at half time.
On the resumption Gerald O'Reilly's charges responded with determined fashion and a Ryan Courtney pointed on the first minute of the restart. This was immediately  followed by a Conor Loye point on 31minutes.  On 34 minutes P. Finnegan added another to reduce the deficit. At this stage the momentum was with Corrinshego and the West Newry side were driving at the heart of the opposition defence. On the 38 minute R. Courtney pointed again. Two minutes later a spectacular effort from Ryan Mc Williams  reduced the deficit to a solitary point.
Disaster then struck for the Newry men with Conor Loye  being issued a second yellow card  to leave the Newry side  with only 14 men for the remainder of the game.  However, Corrinshego responded in typical gritty determination with another penetrating run, which resulted in P. Finnegan being fouled and P. Finnegan pointed the equalising free.
Once again disaster struck in one of the few Belleek attacks a high lobbing ball was meet by their full-forward and it gave Belleek a cushion of a one goal lead.
Liam Quinn pointed to reduce the deficit , but Belleek responded with another point.  Then the drama - a high ball was fielding by super-sub Gerry O'Reilly who fed it to Danny Cinnamond , Danny in turn was gearing down on goal when he was up-ended. After a brief consultation with his umpires, the referee awarded a penalty which P. Finnegan  slotted to the back of the net. Corrinshego were now in a two point lead and with time running out Belleek equalised. Both sides had opportunities  to  win, but a draw was a fair result and both sides must meet again next Sunday in Dorsey at 2pm. The journey continues ,the spirit of '82 lives on. Cor Finseoige Abu!
Saturday was also the last occasion that Paul Heatley donned the maroon and white as he will miss the next game due to 'work commitments ' abroad. We wish Paul all the best and hope that he's back  playing soon with us.

Whitecross 2-4 v Thomas Davis 1-7
After all the rain  we had during the day, the  sky's cleared and we had a beautiful evening in Whitecross for  our first match in a number of weeks.  Using a rotation policy for each of the thirds ( game was divided into 12minutes) gave every player an opportunity to player in the different key positions in the match. We started with Eoinagh Lenagh in nets and he pulled off a couple of  fine saves.  With L. Travers and S. Mc Kinley having a commanding presence in the full-back line gave room for Adam Travers to play as a third midfielder- centre half back. Adam used his upper body strength to  charge up the field and score 0-3 over the course of the game.  Danny Shields and the ever improving Jamie Gray  controlled midfield, with Jamie scoring 1-2 . Ciaran Higgins always looked dangerous and chipped in with a point. Michael Mallon started at half back, but  combined well with J. Gray to score a point from a difficult angle. In one of the best moves of the game Gio Fallone caught a high ball, hand- passed  it to Danny Shield who in turn sent a long ball into corner , where Shaun Collins  fielded it and passed it, to the on-rushing Jamie Gray  for a point. Calum  Bradley  was always industrious and had some great kick outs when he moved into goals. We would like to thank H. Mc Cloy for refereeing the game.

Whitecross v Thomas Davis
Thomas Davis Under 8's returned to league action with an away game against Whitecross last Tuesday night which proved to be an even enough contest with both sides hitting some excellent scores from play & frees. Martin McKinley improves with every game and hit a fantastic goal after a 30 yard solo run. Conall Havern was also to the fore with great defensive play, constantly driving forward & also chipped in with a great long range point. In midfield new comer Kevin Isotov & Shae Gray made a great contribution showing great skill & determination throughout. In the forwards Shay Mallon, Dylan Gray, Thomas McCabe, Toni Fallone, Shay Mallon & Jensen Lee all gained vital possession. In defence new comer Aidan McCabe impressed alongside Rudi Fallone, Ryan Byrne, Katie O'Brien, Justin Cauldwell & Ruby McAteer who all put in a great shift to ensure we once again gained a share of the spoils. Played over 3 periods each player got a chance to play in goals, defence , midfield & defence.
