We're at the latter stages of the pre-season competitions and ten big games went down for decision this afternoon.

In football, it was semi-final day in both the McKenna Cup and Connacht SFL. In Ulster, Derry met Tyrone in Armagh, while Armagh took on Donegal in Tyrone. In Connacht, Galway had home advantage against Mayo and Roscommon entertained Sligo.

The day's big hurling matches saw Tipperary and Clare collide in the Munster SHL final, while the Walsh Cup semi-finals comprised Wexford V Kilkenny and Dublin V Galway.

Elsewhere, both Kehoe Cup semi-finals also took place (Antrim V Kildare and Westmeath V Meath) as well as Louth against DCU-St Patricks in the inaugural Kehoe Shield decider.
