The ongoing political deadlock in Northern Ireland is threatening 25 GAA coaching jobs.

The GAA coaches, along with 28 IFA (Irish Football Association) coaches, are facing an uncertain future amid fears that the Curriculum Sports Programme scheme could be discontinued due to a lack of allocated funding.

"The Curriculum Sports Programme is not guaranteed to continue past October due to lack of allocated funding," SDLP MLA and former Armagh All-Ireland winning full back Justin McNulty told the Irish News.

"This is another horrific example of the collateral damage of the ongoing political deadlock."
