Cathal Compton has provided Roscommon with a boost in time for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier meeting with Armagh at O'Moore Park.

Injury forced the Strokestown midfielder off in the first half of last month's Connacht final defeat to Galway, however, he is fit to face the Orchard County after being retained in Kevin McStay's starting 15.

Fintan Cregg is expected to feature despite missing the cut but a back problem has ruled Fergal Lennon out as he joins his brother Ciaran (broken thumb) on the injury list.
