Saturday's Allianz FL Division 4 defeat to Louth highlighted the work that Antrim have to do ahead of their Ulster SFC clash with Fermanagh, says manager Frank Fitzsimmons.

Speaking to The Belfast Telegraph shortly after their 1-14 to 3-12 reversal, the Saffrons boss commented: We did not defend well and the boys know that themselves.

"It would have been easy for us to offer a massed defence. But we had no intention of doing that.

"Yet we have to absorb lessons and recognise that we have work to do."

The loss to the Wee County is a disappointment that his team can bounce back from in the months ahead, he added.

"The glass is very much still half-full. It's a case of noses to the grindstone."
