Chairman Jim Murray has called for an end to the negativity surrounding Antrim GAA.

Outgoing hurling manager Kevin Ryan added to the air of doom and gloom yesterday when he predicted that Wexford would give his U21 team a "massive hiding" in tomorrow's All-Ireland semi-final after he was forced to cancel a number of training sessions due to a lack of interest.

Murray is now calling for a more positive mindset as the Saffrons begin the search for Ryan's successor.

"There is a process that has to be followed, but when the next county board meeting is held, I would like to think that business will be conducted with positives in mind," the chairman said in the Belfast Telegraph.

"I think it's time we rid ourselves of the depressing negativity that we have been experiencing of late and try and bring Antrim forward."
