Antrim secured a morale lifting round 1 win over Laois last Sunday and manager Kevin Ryan has now challenged his players to push on and clinch top spot in the round-robin series.
The Saffrons put their dismal league display behind them to score a 5-17 to 3-22 win over the O'Moore County thanks to a converted injury-time penalty by Conor Clarke.
Tomorrow they make the trip to Mullingar take on Westmeath and manager Ryan has warned: "The job is far from done and the way we see it we're not out of the woods yet.
"Westmeath is huge next Sunday, it's probably even bigger than it would have been because we're set the bar last Sunday and we've got to go beyond it now."
Westmeath enjoyed a narrow 2-19 to 2-17 win over Carlow on the opening weekend with Alan Devine and Brendan Murtagh netting the goals.
The Lake County's star forward Brendan Murtagh fancies their chances of causing an upset: "I wouldn't say there's a huge gap.
"Down through the years we never really feared the likes of Antrim or Laois. For many years, we were in the same league as them. At the moment, we look at Kerry and the fact that we let ourselves down in the (Division 2A) league final. They went on to beat Antrim in the playoff.
"We feel like there's nothing in it - we can work on our performance, tidy up a few things and get another win next Sunday."
Verdict - Antrim.
