Trinity College Dublin 1-18
Queens University Belfast 1-9

Collie O'Neill and Danny Sutcliffe scored 0-9 between them to help Trinity College to a maiden Ryan Cup success at a wet and windy Gaelic Grounds yesterday.

All of Dublin All Star Sutcliffe's four points came from play, while three of O'Neill's five also came from play. Trailing by 1-4 to 1-7 at the break, Trinity made good use of the elements in the second half to outscore their Belfast opponents by 0-14 to 0-2.

Conor O'Carroll raised an early green flag for the winners, but with Derry's Alan Grant helping himself to 1-5, Queen's fought back to lead by three at half-time.

But the Dublin students never looked back after Sutcliffe brought them level 10 minutes after the restart.
