Rossa Autumn 'Try-It' a huge success

The Rossa's Autumn 'Try-It' Event and Sports camp was a hugh success.

Aided by Belfast City Council Small Development Grant, support for sport, 70-100 children took part in Rossa's Autumn 'Try-It' Event and Sports camp

This took place over mid term break 27th - 31st October 2014 with the children participating in Hurling , Gaelic Football, Handball, athletics, soccer, rugby, activity games, keep fit.  In addition to the coaches delivering the project, based on learning through play, Seamus McKenna from the BCSDN was also available 3 hours each day to assist in the promotion of the 'Try-It' Event for novices with particular focus on ladies football in Rossa club for the first time. 

This was a great success in line with promoting female participation in sport with the club fielding girls football teams in the subsequent weeks following the camp. Pictured are some of the children who took part with the Belfast City Banner, supporting sport Be Active. Rossa acknowledges the significant support from the Belfast City Council in making the event a great success
