Lotto: Numbers 2, 5, 8, 22. Weds 15/10/2014. £30 consolation to Pamela Smyth. Next week's Jackpot now £1000. Thanks for continued support. £1 to enter.

- Our Senior Hurling team: have reached the Ulster Final after defeating Lisbellaw 2-17 to 1-11 in the Semi Final. Well done to all the players and to the management. Thanks to all the support, it made a massive difference. They will now face either Cushendall or Slaughtneil in the Ulster final on Sunday 2nd November. Keep working and training hard lads.

-  2 years ago when the Senior Hurling team progressed into the Ulster Series, we put up a lot of blue and gold around the town. The town already has quite a bit up, but let's have it full of blue and gold.  Let's be proud of our club, players and town. Thanks in advance. Club flags now available:  Small hand flags 24inch by 18inch - chequered - £4.  Large 5ft x 3ft - both chequered and plain 2 stripe - £8.  Small number of club beanie hats also available - £8.

- Big Breakfast: on the morning of the Ulster Final, Sunday 2nd November, the club will be hosting a breakfast morning. It's a great way of coming out and wishing the players all the best, getting something to eat and then getting on the Supporters bus. More details to follow.

- Ulster GAA Writers Award: Congrats to Niamh Mallon who has been nominated for Camogie Player of the year 2014. The banquet will be held on Saturday 1st November in Bundoran. Good luck Niamh, from all at Portaferry GAC.

- Rivalries from the 1990'S revisited: the Charity match that was held on Sunday 30th March for Friends of the Cancer Centre raised a massive and brilliant amount of £10,076.00. Big well done to all involved and especially to all the organisers. It is hoped a return match will be played in antrim next year.

- Scor na nOg: is on Sunday 2nd and 9th November. It has been a while since we have
entered anyone into this. We have a lot of talent in our club, musicians, singers, dancers etc. So why not show the county what we have. Anyone interested contact Gerard McGrattan
