St. Gall's CJ McGourty is eager to put last Sunday's Antrim SHC final loss behind him by helping the Milltown men to another Antrim SFC final appearance tomorrow.
McGourty scored two points in Gall's 1-5 to 1-15 hurling final defeat to Cushendall, but is determined to bounce straight with a victory over of Creggan in the football semi-final at Glenavy.
"For a club like ours, we wouldn't be happy with what happened on Sunday. We thought we would have had a good chance, which we did," the dual star told the Irish News.
"Cushendall were the better team on the day, but we hit nine or 10 wides in the first half and that would have left us in with a chance. We want success at every level in every code, be it Gaelic, hurling or handball.
"We're disappointed after Sunday, but we'll go again and try and make amends for it on Saturday."
He added: "The hurling and football for the last eight or nine weeks is going to take its toll some time, and running into a team like Creggan isn't going to do us any favours because they're big and physical, and they can play football as well.
"We're under no illusions that this is probably our toughest test in a long while."
