Antrim manager Kevin Ryan was already looking ahead to his side's All-Ireland U21HC semi-final against either Clare or Cork after last night's facile Ulster final victory over Down at the Athletic Grounds.

The Saffrons reached last year's All-Ireland final - only to lose heavily to Clare - and with the likes of Jackson McGreevey, Conor Clarke and Stephen McAfee still eligible for the grade, they have high hopes of reaching another national decider.

"The Munster champions, it's a serious strong team, Cork or Clare down there. I have watched them all," Waterford native Ryan told the Irish News.

"There's a chance at any stage. Whether it's a one in 10 chance, we're going to prepare for it, we're working with the clubs, they'll allow us the time to prepare for it.

"There will be no excuses and we're looking forward to going down and having a serious go at it. To be fair, we have three or four weeks, and it's right at the senior club championship stage.

"But we've already been talking to the senior managers, and being honest, they couldn't be more supportive. We're working very well with them."
