Team news: Meath man among Antrim newcomers

New Antrim defender Mark Gardiner in action for Simonstown Gaels.

Mark Gardiner, from the Simonstown Gaels club in Meath, will make his Allianz League debut for Antrim on Sunday.

A two-time Meath SFC winner, Gardiner has been picked at corner-back for the Saffrons' Division 4 opener at home to Wexford in Glenavy.

Goalkeeper Oisin Kerr (Creggan Kickhams) and midfielder Marc Jordan (Lamh Dhearg) are other newcomers introduced by manager Lenny Harbinson.

Meanwhile, Paddy Cunningham, who recently returned to the county squad at the age of 34 after starring for Lamh Dhearg in their run to last year's county SFC final, is selected at corner-forward.
