"It’s a good two points for us, it’s been a good night" - new Queens University manager Conor Deegan was a happy man after winning the Electric Ireland Division One League clash with rivals Ulster University at the Dub in Belfast last night, 2-10 to 0-11.

The double All Ireland winner with Down (1991 and 1994) was pleased that ‘some of our young lads really stepped up, Darren McGurn, Odhran Eastwood and Eamon Fyfe’ and that he accepted the chance to manage Queens.

"I’m genuinely glad I have taken this opportunity. It’s top-class, the facilities are second-to-none, we’re a wee bit spoilt."
