Derrygonnelly manager Brendan Rasdale believes that they have the experience to make a mark on the Ulster club SFC.
Having lifted the Fermanagh county SFC title for the fifth consecutive year, Derrygonnelly have a break before they embark on another provincial campaign.
They will face the Antrim champions on October 20th, but they have the league semi-finals to play before that.
Speaking to the Fermanagh Herald, Rasdale stressed that they can make a big impression on the Ulster club SFC.
“We have good know-how in the group and that’s useful in Ulster. When I think back to the very first time we went into the Ulster club championship in 2015 against Slaughtneil, we’re a very different team from then. We have a much better understanding of how to go about it.
“I felt last year we went into the Ulster club with a lot of expectation on us, which wasn’t that comfortable with. I think we’re going in this year with a bit less of that euphoria about us.”
