McGeary points to room for improvement

Tyrone's Hugh Pat McGeary

It was a case of job done for Tyrone against Derry last weekend, but Hugh Pat McGeary feels that there is plenty of room for improvement.

The Red Hand County take on Antrim on Saturday week and McGeary believes that they have to step up their performance levels once again.

For long periods last Sunday, Derry were very much in the game and it took a late surge by Tyrone to see them over the line.

“The game against Antrim is only two weeks after Derry and it’s definitely going to be another potential banana skin,” McGeary told the Ulster Herald.

“We have to be mentally prepared to deal with the opposition who are going to give us a big challenge. Derry are classed as a Division Four team, but you saw on Sunday how capable they are.

“It will be the same with Antrim who are going to put it up to us. They’ll be coming with the attitude of having nothing to lose.”
