Westmeath and Kerry will meet in the Division 2A final after they beat Mayo and Meath respectively this afternoon.

The Lake County were already assured of their place in next weekend’s decider and they duly finished their programme of round-robin fixtures with a 100% record by virtue of a comfortable 2-12 to 0-6 victory over Mayo in Mullingar.

Johnny Bermingham struck the first Westmeath goal after five minutes and Derek McNicholas added the second midway through the second half.

Kerry will provide final opposition after late goals from substitutes Jordan Conway, Padraig Boyle and Jordan Brick helped them thump the Royals in the snow at Fitzgerald Stadium, 3-15 to 0-8

Trailing by the odd point from 15 at the short whistle, the Kingdom held their hapless opponents scoreless after the restart whilst adding 3-8 to their own tally.

The result there meant that Antrim’s narrow 1-16 to 0-17 defeat of spirited London at Corrigan Park was to no avail, Conor McCann netting 14 minutes after the restart after the Exiles had edged ahead by 0-12 to 0-11.
