RTE has come under fire from viewers in the North after they were blocked from watching last Saturday's All-Ireland football qualifier between Armagh and Roscommon.

The game, which was shown online via the RTE News Now channel, was unavailable to view on the RTE Player, while GAA fans in the six counties were also blocked from seeing highlights of key scores.

A spokesman for the national broadcaster said the problem was caused by IP (Internet Protocol) addresses defaulting to locations in England, and thereby blocking the programme.
