Sad to report the passing of former Kilskyre hurler and mentor Donie Geraghty.

Kilskyre Camogie and Hurling Club paid tribute to their former star on social media.

Kilskyre Camogie and Hurling Club would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the Geraghty family, friends, and neighbours at the sudden and sad passing of Donie Geraghty.

Donie, part of a staunch hurling family in this part of the county, like his brothers, had a fine playing career with Kilskyre.

When his playing career had finished up, he and Paddy Muldoon coached the U14s to a County final (lost against their neighbours Moylagh), a County U16 final (beating Longwood), a Minor final (beating Moylagh) and an U21 final( beating Killyon).

These grassroots came at a pivotal time in our Club's history of adversity, commitment and success.

Funeral details

Reposing at Mullen's Funeral Home, Athboy, Co. Meath on Friday between 5pm and 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Church of Saint Bartholomew, Killallon, followed by private Cremation.
