Dunderry 6-12 Moynalty 0-9

Moynalty played Dunderry in the Minor Tournament semi final in Moynalty.

Moynalty were coming into this game in good form after 2 wins already this week to qualify for this semi final, however they came up against a very strong and well set up Dunderry side.

The first half was a close encounter with both teams cancelling each other out. There was great defending from Joe McMahon and Sean Cassidy, while Sean McMahon worked hard in midfield. Moynalty had some good moves and got good scores from Eoin Gilsenan and Caomhin Cussen. A late flurry of Dunderry points left them ahead by 4 at half time.

In the second half Dunderry upped the intensity and  pulled away as they hit Moynalty for 5 goals.

It was a disappointing end to the Competition as it was the teams first defeat.

The lads now look ahead to the league which starts in two weeks.
