Replying To Oldtourman:  "Thanks Galway456, a bit unlucky but Cork played well. However their defence is still dodgy and that could come back to bit. Ritchie has done his cruciate and must be now nearly recovered. I am surprised Galway have not done more with the four in a row Minor Teams. There always seems to be a lot of potential there."
Corks trick of going long wont work against tipp, liam cahill will have ronan maher and co waiting for the high ball. This weekend is a massive weekene of hurling in both munster and leinster. Alot of them Minors haven't progressed since winning them Minors. Making the Minor squad in Galway would be a big thing and after that not many go on to make senior. We are an aging team and i cant see us winning anything for a few years. As a man said to me once " potential isnt worth a flying F unless you reach it"

I think I heard a stat, that there were only 2 players from those 4 minor winning teams on the Galway panel against Wexford. You're talking about 50+ players across those 4 panels.
Given that those lads would be early to mid-twenties now, it's a fairly shocking statistic.
