Condolences to his family and all his friends in Rathgarogue-Cushinstown and further afield.

Awful news, would stop you in your tracks.

Tragic, absolutely tragic.

An absolute gentleman, dedicated club man and almost singlehandedly got that club up to the level of football they are at. Was talking to him in the park only a few weeks ago.

As you say, puts it all into perspective.

Replying To Pikeman96:  "And the neutral venue v London will be Cardiff Arms Park, because that's about halfway between both sides.

Hey, it's as true as anything else you were told this morning.....! :)"
feck sake that place would have been to small to hold the crowd anyway if that had off happened, the touts would have made a fortune with black market tickets

Absolutely heart breaking for the club. He was a pleasure to be around always good craic. I worked with and played hurling and football with him. Demanded the best on and off the field. He was a great character as well. He drove us to an Leinster junior title and also seeing us in an all Ireland final in croke park was something I never expected to see he got us there. His love for hurling and football was unbelievable.

His best attribute was he was a gentleman and always had time for everyone. He was hard working and very much a family man. Everyone in cushinstown from near and far has taken this quite tough.

May he rest in peace.

a bitter disappointment, was confident at half time, after a bad start we were going well while not being as direct as we normally are thought we had the measure of them, but sligo pinned our half back line back in 2th half, their 2th goal was a killer, still no reson to fear antrim

Sligo would probably be one of the favourites they should have beaten Galway in Connacht

A good game on Saturday, Sligo are one of the better teams I think. Wexford set up very defensively in first half where they had a strong wind. For me the game was lost in the first half even though they went in a point up. Kick outs were a problem all day and Sligos second goal was a bit of a giveaway, quick thinking by Sligo and caught Wexford unawares. Some very good performances, KOG was excellent in first half as was Paidi Hughes. Coleman, Dylan Furlong and Glen Malone excellent all game, Malone very unlucky not to have a second goal. They have every chance of finishing second in the group.

Wexford probably need a win against A division 3 team to ignite them. Antrim saturday is huge.
